Glass Orchard

A first look at Glass Orchard — my debut novel and first work of fiction. A literary spy thriller. Coming soon on Amazon KDP.

For a long while now, in the quiet hours around teaching and research, I have been writing something very different. Not a paper. Not a dataset. A novel.

Glass Orchard is my first work of fiction — and the first thing I have written that has nothing to do with academia. It has been a long time coming, and I am finally ready to start letting people in on it.

The story

A Tale of Survival, Deception, and Betrayal.

A young woman from Afghanistan is quietly made — reshaped from who she was into someone the world will never quite see coming. A new name. A new city. London, and a life built on things that are not true. Glass Orchard — Volume One: The Making follows her from the very beginning: how a person becomes an asset, and what it costs to survive inside a story someone else is writing.

That is all I will give away for now.

A sneak peek, and what comes next

This is a first look, not the full picture. The manuscript is close, the cover is done, and an audiobook is on its way. I will share more here as it gets nearer — early chapters, a little of the making of the book, and the release date.

If you have only ever known my academic side, this is a different corner of the same head. I hope you will give it a read.
